Safety Tips
Protect Your Personal Information
Never share your full name, home address, workplace, phone number, or financial information with someone you just met. Take your time getting to know someone before sharing personal details.
Trust Your Instincts
If something feels off, trust your gut. It is okay to end a conversation or block someone who makes you uncomfortable. Your safety and comfort always come first.
Meet Safely in Person
When meeting someone for the first time, always meet in a public place. Tell a friend or family member where you are going. Consider using your board members as a sounding board before meeting someone.
Recognize Red Flags
Be cautious of profiles that seem too good to be true, people who ask for money, refuse to video chat or meet in person, or pressure you to move off the app quickly.
Block and Report
If you encounter someone behaving inappropriately, use the block and report feature immediately. We take all reports seriously and review them promptly.
Report a Concern
If you have a safety concern, contact our safety team right away. We are committed to making DatingBoard a safe space for everyone.
